Ryan has been a performing vocalist/songwriter for over 13 years.
As a vocalist Ryan has studied professionally under nationally recognized Speech Level Singing instructor Vanessa Purdy.

In 2004 Lightyear was selected as a finalist to perform on the Warner Brother's Network television program "Uncovered", eventually winning the title of 2005 "Best Cover band of Arizona" and serving as the 2005 house band for the network.
As a songwriter Ryan's music was selected by LA Music Scene.com as a finalist in the national songwriting competition "Acoustic Live Series" eventually landing his band a spec deal with former Lava Atlantic Records producer Rogers Masson.

Guitar | Mike Kaplan
Mike Kaplan performed with B Platinum Drummer and Singer in original group "Lightyear" and has played notable showcases at CCV as well as other cover projects. He currently teaches and mentors other musicians and singers in the valley and devotes himself to his craft as an amazing acoustic and electric guitarist.
Bass Guitar | Gary Hake
Growing up in the Minneapolis music scene and now living in Phoenix, Gary Hake has performed, recorded and collaborated with a variety of groups and singer songwriters over the years. From Originals to covers, hard rock to funk, and R&B to experimental. I take pride in playing all styles of music with heart, soul, energy and groove.
Keyboard| Mike Berrelleza
Mike had an interest in music at an early age. At age 8, he began taking piano lessons, becoming classically trained in reading music, sight reading and performing classical pieces in numerous recitals.
Throughout the years, Mike became interested in developing his skills with other instruments. While growing up, he also played the trumpet for 8 years. And while in high school and college, he picked up other instruments along the way, such as guitar, bass and drums, playing in different bands with each of these instruments.
Since everything he played seemed to relate back to the piano in one way or another, he decided to focus primarily on that. While playing in many different bands and projects throughout college, he finally came across a group of extremely talented musicians known as "Lightyear."
Mike joined and played numerous shows with them before recruiting additional talented members in to the group to form B Platinum. He adds his style and instrumental diversity every time we step on stage.
